Self Projections : Tell Us about yourself
Pallavi: I am 25, born and raised in Delhi and now living in Bombay, India. I am a cockroach – I believe with whichever maximum or minimum circumstances I’ve had n life, I have tried to overcome them come what may.I enjoy a good cup of cappuccino with cookies. ????
Self Projections : How you started things ?
Pallavi :I started teaching in 2011, when I was a student myself. Initially it was just a part-time hobby to earn some extra cash but slowly it became a more mainstream, full-fledged business.
I believe there were some intense circumstances which became inflection points for me to make a call go ahead with Hindi Teaching. The trajectory in hindsight is quite dramatic, but hey, all is well that ends well I suppose.
I think students and youngsters in Pakistan face almost the same or tougher choices when it comes to making a career and earning a living for yourself. I hope to reach out to those college kids and young minds who do not come from a privileged background and maybe help them make a better choice for future.
Self Projections : What is your work Philosophy ?
Pallavi: Do whatever you enjoy and what gives back to you. Find a way to make money using your strengths. Enable yourself to afford good things but not necessarily buy them. Work hard and smart, do not compromise on the quality, if you’re sincere with your work, your work will be sincere with you.
Self Projections : Some words for self Projections ?
Pallavi : Self-Projections is a riveting platform run by the youth, for the youth. By bringing forth cross–cultural stories, self-projections becomes one of the few media houses to truly enable exchange of real stories across the border and connect the generation separated forcefully a few decades ago.
It is a young team trying to present an outlet to those who have something to say and would like for people to hear them out. I personally like the range of topics that Self Projections covers — from movies, poems to politics — I believe its an eclectic mix.
